Selling a development is a different job from selling a single home. An apartment building, a land estate or a lifestyle community can involve dozens of listings, several agents, a library of renders and floor plans, and a stream of construction updates — and all of it needs to stay consistent from the first release to the last sale. Until now, most of that information has lived across individual listings, shared drives and inboxes.
Projects is a new iDashboard feature built for agencies that manage residential developments, land estates, lifestyle communities, commercial projects and other multi-property campaigns. It gives you one central place to manage a development, its properties, agents, advertising content, media, documents, construction information and history.
One project, one source of truth
Each project has its own workspace inside iDashboard. Alongside the project name, type, status and sales stage, you can record:
- Location and mapping details
- Project agents, in the order you want them displayed
- An advertising heading, description, price display and low-to-high price range
- Bedroom, bathroom and car space ranges
- Development details such as the current release, total lots and levels, construction start and completion dates, and the developer, builder and architect
- Features and amenities, media, documents and project notes
Projects can be categorised as Apartments, Units, Estate, Lifestyle, Commercial, Mixed Use, Industrial or Other Development, so the same tool suits a CBD apartment tower, a greenfield land estate or a retirement and lifestyle community.
From pre-development to sold out
Projects follow their whole lifecycle. Statuses such as Active, Upcoming, On Hold, Sold Out and Completed show where a project sits in your portfolio, while stages — from Pre Development and Planning through Under Construction, Nearing Completion and Selling — track construction and sales progress. Everyone in the office can see at a glance where each development is up to.
Connect every property to the bigger picture
Listings can be linked to a project while you create or edit the listing, or directly from the project itself. Inside the project, associated properties appear in the familiar Real Estate results layout, newest first, and you can filter between Active, Inactive and All Properties. The number of active properties is shown at a glance, and properties can be removed and re-added as plans change.
When a property’s project association changes, iDashboard republishes it automatically, so connected destinations receive the updated relationship without any extra step from your team.
Build once, reuse everywhere
Every project has a Media area for public project images, a logo, and links to a video, virtual tour, masterplan and project website. There’s also a private Image Library — a central collection of floor plans, renders, lifestyle photography and amenity images that isn’t publicly exposed.
When an agent prepares a new listing in the project, they can select images from the library in a batch and copy them straight into the listing. Once copied, they become the listing’s own images. It’s a practical way to keep imagery consistent across dozens of listings without re-uploading the same files every time.
Documents such as brochures, plans and specifications can be stored against the project too, each marked as public or private.
Amenities that matter to buyers
The Features area covers shared amenities and features specific to the project type — from secure parking, gyms and pools to parks, solar, independent living, nearby medical services and accessibility facilities. For lifestyle and retirement communities in particular, these details are often what buyers care about most.
Better oversight through project reporting
Three new office reports help you manage your project portfolio:
- Project Portfolio Summary — a high-level view of projects, their status, stage and property inventory.
- Project Property Inventory — properties grouped or filtered by project.
- Unassociated Property Report — properties not yet assigned to a project, so missing links are easy to find and fix.
Ready for websites, portals and integrations
Each project has a simple Published or Not Published setting, kept separate from its operational status, so you control what appears on public-facing websites independently of how you manage the project internally.
For agencies using supported realestate.com.au publishers, iDashboard can retrieve the agency’s project profiles in the background every hour (with a manual refresh available), so you choose the right realestate.com.au Project ID from a list rather than typing it in.
Projects are also available through the iDashboard API, with dedicated read-only and read/write permissions, and connected applications can receive project create, update and delete webhooks. That keeps your agency website and other systems in step with your project data.
A familiar experience
Projects follows the iDashboard Real Estate layout your team already knows — the same search and results screens, tabs, upload progress and controls — so there’s very little to learn before you start. A complete History records project changes, status updates, media and document activity, property associations and who made each change.
Getting started
Projects is ready to help you manage your project listings more efficiently. It also integrates with iDashsites, so the projects you mark as Published can be showcased on your agency website alongside your linked listings, keeping your website in step with the details you manage in iDashboard.
